About Centurion Engineers, Inc.
Centurion Engineers has a history of engineering excellence beginning in 1921 when Raymond J. Briggs established the firm as a sole proprietorship. His son Carlyle W. Briggs became a principal member in 1947 and the company name changed to Briggs & Associates. In 1970 Raymond Briggs retired and Carlyle and Maxine Briggs became the owners and continued under the Briggs & Associates name—shortened to B&A Engineers, Inc. in 1978 when the members incorporated. As a tribute to the firm’s 100-year long history and to all its former owners, we changed the name to Centurion Engineers, Inc. in 2021. In 2025, Centurion Engineers, Inc. expanded its ownership to include long-time valued employees David Crawford, Jennel Hall, and Kent Crawford. Joseph Canning remains at the helm as our principle engineer.
Our Legacy
From the beginning, we focused our efforts on different endeavors that met the needs of the time. Early on, we successfully designed highways, bridges, dams and airports. When residential development intensified in the mid 1980s, our firm became more involved with land planning and land development projects. We continue to provide a variety of services to our clients today with small- and large-scale projects that include residential, commercial, and industrial uses. Nearly all our projects come to us through long-time client relationships going back years if not decades.
